The Prop-A-Gate holds your gate in place while driving through or herding livestock from one pasture
to another. The Prop-A-Gate helps prevent damage to your gate, vehicles and farm equipment by preventing the gate from swinging closed unexpectedly or slamming back against the fence due to wind, terrain, mis-hung gates or misaligned posts.
The simple design makes the Prop-A-Gate easy to install. Just snap the steel spring clips over the 2nd and 4th horizontal bars and insert the zinc coated metal rod. When the rod hits the ground, give it a little push to set it into dirt or gravel. This will keep tubular gates open in most instances. When your not using the Prop-A-Gate, just hook it over an uppper bar. The Prop-A-Gate is not designed to hold gates in position against livestock or for extended periods.
