Hopper stiffeners are standard on 9' bulk bins that are 3, 4, 5, and 6 rows high.

WHEN TO ADD HOPPER STIFFENERS: All bins offered without hopper stiffeners are for normal use with standard feeds. 3, 4, ring bins that are going to be filled with soybean meal, high fat feeds and non-free flowing materials require hopper seam stiffeners.
LivestockShed.com offers optional side ladders, slide valves and augers to help manage the feed in your feed bin. Although side ladders is not included with the bulk feed bins, is a good idea to purchase one along with your feed bin. Side ladders are necessary for the safe operation of your bulk feed bin. Hopper stiffeners help prevent the hopper's seams from splitting when heavy product is loaded into the feed bin. When storing heavy feeds in the feed bin, such as soybean meal, high fat feeds or non-free flowing materials, hopper stiffeners are recommended. Hopper stiffeners come standard on bulk feed bins that are 9' diameter that are 3 rows, 4 rows, 5 rows, and 6 rows high. When using a bulk feed bin, an unloading system is necessary to get the feed out of the feed bin. A hopper valve is ideal for dispensing feed into a wheel barrow. A slide valve is ideal for filling buckets with feed. Just hang the bucket on the hooks located at the end of the slide valve's chute and raise the handle to dispense feed. Poly boots are made for use with augers for an automated feeding system or to fill trucks and trailers. With the use of an auger you can set up an automated feeding system that will evenly dispense feed from the feed bin to your livestock. Using augers with a feeding system can reduce the amount of work involved with feeding livestock by eliminating the need to feed by filling wheelbarrows or buckets and carrying them to the feeding area.
